How can photography be used as a tool to start a dialogue about mental health and wellbeing in the school environment?
The Photographers’ Gallery, in partnership with Photoworks, invites Art and Photography teachers and trainee teachers to explore this question with photographer Daniel Regan and artist filmmaker Annis Joslin.
Both artists have extensive experience facilitating workshops for people with acute mental health challenges. Annis has facilitated numerous projects with young people and made films about their experiences of hospital admission and recovery journeys. Daniel is Artistic Director of the arts and wellbeing charity Free Space Project. He regularly exhibits and runs workshops across both clinical and arts institutions.
The session will provide ideas and guidance as well as the opportunity for peer to peer learning.
