Professor Bobbie Farsides at Brighton & Sussex Medical School recently invited me to put on an event around alopecia, discussing my project with both medical students and the general public.
On the 21st of June I’ll be discussing how my alopecia project began and progressed into a show that toured the UK, was advertised on the London Underground and published into a book. This long term project is cited with improving individual self-confidence and identity issues as well as uniting the alopecia community through a shared experience.
I’ll be discussing the project alongside Amy Richardson (one of the project participants), a dermatologist (tbc) & a representative from the Nuffield Council on Bioethics. Details to be confirmed.
