On 31st October I ran a symposium event called Get-Together: Arts & Health. Funded by Axisweb this event was a place for socially engaged artists interested in or working in arts & health to meet, connect and learn from one another. Throughout the day we had artists sharing their practices, but also collaborative discussions around funding, collaboration, dealing with successes and challenges and opportunities. One of the key themes that came up throughout the day was having a place to continue these discussions and a place to support one another.
I have now started up the Arts & Health Hub, an online and offline place for artists to connect with one another through peer mentoring and support. This comprises of my monthly artist peer group and a new online forum providing a safe place to ask questions and learn with the aim of lifting each other up. Click here to find out more.
